Ah the humble to-do list. There are so many ways of keeping track of the various things we need to get done in a day or a week or a month. Usually a piece of paper is sufficient - sometimes the back of an envelope or a receipt. Sometimes an actual notepad or notebook. Sometimes a tiny little sticky note. Whatever it might be, the to-do list is there to serve us. If we can find it... Because let's face it... to-do lists have a habit of being mislaid... or of walking of away... And so we start a new list with the first item being "Find old to-do list"!
I've been experimenting with various to-do options...
Piece of paper - tends to get lost
Spiral notebook - hard to lose but each day I need to transfer the previous day's uncompleted things to a new page
Asana.com - virtual list - lots of features... but kind of complicated - not smartphone compatible really
Evernote - great for keeping track of various bits of pieces of things - scan it and clip it to evernote - not so good for to-do lists...
One Note - liked the look of it - felt like a spiral bound notebook - but don't have it on my desktop
And now... a new find - Wunderlist.com ... simple, elegeant, compatible with my smartphone. Sort of like a virtual notebook and I can have several lists on the go for various things like "Home", "Writing", "Blog Ideas", etc. So I'm giving this one a whirl... wish me luck!
