My List of Books to Read in 2017

Alright then, here's my list of life-changing, world-changing books that I plan to read in 2017. Or at least, starting in 2017. If I read 53 pages a day for 365 days, I'd be able to finish the first 57 books in 2017. The last three would take a bit longer. As I mentioned in the last blog, not sure I can read 53 pages a day... so we'll start with 20-30 and see how far I get.

I do plan to blog daily about the reading that I'm doing. The list is also open to modification, most likely due to additions. I also have a rather odd tendency (at least my friends think it's odd) to read multiple books at the same time. I'll try not to do that here as the blog might get a bit disjointed!

As for the order of books... kind of random although I am trying to ease into this gently. I chose Freedom Writers Diary to start because (a) I saw the movie recently and (b) I am going to be writing about my reading and thought this book was somehow appropriate for this purpose.

Looking over the list... I have read a few books before:

• Little Prince - always a good re-read.
• 1984 - I think I read that in high school but, as with most books I read in high school, don't think I really got the depth of the book!
• Brave New World - same as 1984 - read it in high school
• Diary of a Young Girl - you guessed it, read it in high school
• The Alchemist - like the Little Prince - always a good re-read

Any other suggestions out there? Let me know and I'll see about adding them to the list. As I said, this might turn into a multi-year project!
